US Service Technician
Your role as a Service Technician is to provide Field Service for our US customer base. As a member of the Customer Service Team you will be working directly with our Service Team leader in Canada. The candidate will have the following responsibilities, skills, and attributes:
Responsibilities:
- Commission, service and perform preventive maintenance on our controlled access equipment on location;
- Provide product related training on installation, troubleshooting and equipment maintenance;
- Ensure that all project specificities are understood & performed;
- Confirm that all materials and tools required are available for the job;
- Guaranty that all equipment is functional before leaving the site;
- Prepare commissioning and inspection check lists, as needed;
- Ensure that customer approves and signs work orders before leaving the site;
- Support telephone Help Desk service;
- Maintain tools in good working condition and manage replacements, as needed.
Skills:
- Must be personable
- Able to perform a wide range of activities including day-to-day customer interaction.
- Autonomous and able to work with minimum supervision, methodical and well organized
Job requirements:
- 5 years in similar job
- Electro mechanical with knowledge of Automates & related software
- IT and network basics to include; IP addresses, servers, and control panels
- Basic knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Valid driver license
- Valid passport
- Available to work overtime without previous notice
Working conditions
- 40 hours a week- Monday – Friday, weekends may occasionally be required
- Overtime required frequently
- Frequent travel required, approximately 75% of the time
- Work performed in the field- inside & outside, all year round
Traveling outside the US to Canada required occasionally for factory training
