Industrial Engineer Position – Brossard Manufacturing facility

We are currently looking to fill an industrial engineer position to reinforce the operational team.

More specifically, they will be responsible for the following mandates: 

  • Implement new assembly lines or improve existing lines;
  • Act as a technical resource for production teams in connection with the assembly methods of the company’s products;
  • Conduct an in-depth analysis of the launches of new products in production (operating ranges, ” Make or buy ”, assembly methods with supporting documents);
  • Prepare and optimize the tools required for production in accordance with the company’s health and safety program;
  • Provide training for production employees on new assembly methods and continuous improvement concepts;
  • Set up or complete the operating ranges of existing products and maintain them in the ERP;
  • Analyze and optimize the cost price of existing products;
    Set up or maintain assembly documents and standard assembly times;
  • Develop and implement the continuous improvement program at the Brossard plant;
  • Collaborate in the maintenance of the technical data base in the ERP;
  • Work closely with the group’s industrial offices in Belgium and France;

Assets required :

  • Bachelor of Industrial Engineering;
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in similar functions in an industrial environment;
  • Experience in implementing Lean concepts in an small-medium enterprise (an asset);
  • Knowledge of Catia and Solidworks drawing software (an asset);
  • Experience with an ERP, knowledge of Axapta (Microsoft Dynamics) (an asset);
  • Mechanical and electrical / electronic skills (an asset)
  • Project management skills;
  • Bilingual French / English (an asset)
