Given our continued growth and commitment to strengthening human resources management, both at the strategic and operational levels, we are currently seeking to expand our Brossard team by adding a Human Resources Advisor.

The selected candidate will advise management and employees while ensuring compliance with applicable legislation within available budgets. Being results-oriented, with a keen sense of adaptation, we are seeking a person whose desire to learn and ability to build trusting relationships will quickly make them an asset to our management team. Strong motivational and leadership skills will be essential. The successful candidate must be able to quickly ramp up and integrate themselves within our team.

Specifically, this person will be responsible for the following:

o Plan staffing needs with managers;
o Develop and update recruitment tools;
o Manage the hiring cycle, including welcoming new employees;
o Implement and monitor career management planning and replacement planning of key positions.

Strategic management
o Participate in the development, implementation and improvement of human resources management policies, processes and tools;
o Advise management on innovative strategies to motivate, mobilize and retain staff;
o Develop, produce and analyze various statistical reports;
o Monitor and implement best practices in relation to their field of expertise.

o Manage annual increases and bonuses;
o Implement and monitor salary brackets;
o Ensure pay equity maintenance;
o Coordinate benefits for the Canadian and U.S. entities;
o Track employees banked vacation hours and schedules.

Management/employee support
o Support and advise managers regarding the management of their team;
o Maintain and organize employee records;
o Liaise and follow-up with the Automatic Systems’ corporate human resources team;
o Respond to specific questions and requests for information from employees;
o Coordinate various events, activities, celebrations and briefings.

o Enter and validate (outsourced) payroll data for over 50 employees in Canada and 10 employees in the United States;
o Ensure payment of U.S. and Canadian payroll providers;
o Produce annual statements (summary R1, T2200, statement of wages with CNESST, training activity declarations (1%), etc.).

o Plan, organize and manage training;
o Coordinate the employee performance evaluation program;
o Ensure a harmonious work environment;
o Manage complaints or sensitive situations reported by employees and refer them to appropriate resources;
o Coordinate and participate in the Health & Safety Committee and manage recommended prevention requirements;
o Collaborate on various projects, primarily with regards to the change management process.


o At least 5 years of experience in similar positions;
o Being a member of the CPHR is an asset;
o Fluency with Office software and ability to learn new software;
o Must be bilingual in French/English.
